Law enforcement officers and firefighters work 24 hours a day to protect us, our families, and our businesses in Carmel. If these real-life heroes are killed in the line of duty, their dependent spouses and children may be left without assistance. The Heroes Club, Inc. of Carmel was incorporated in 1996 to support public safety officers serving Carmel by providing financial assistance currently in the amount of $150,000 to the families of public safety officers killed in the line of duty in Carmel and Clay Townships. The Heroes Club, Inc. also provides funds for grants to purchase equipment that saves lives and protects our community.

“The Heroes Club recognizes the value of services that police officers and firefighters provide to the community. As Chief of the Carmel Police Department, I am most appreciative of the assistance that the Heroes Club provides to us, and I support the purpose and goals of its membership.”

...Chief Michael Fogarty

“The Heroes Club is a group of businessmen that Carmel firefighters very much appreciate. The Heroes Club partnership with public safety officers provides peace of mind for our families and the spirit of a sharing community. The Heroes Club is an example of people doing the right thing for the sake of firefighters and police officers.”

 ...Chief Keith Smith

“The Heroes Club’s support for local Public Safety Officers has set a standard of excellence that other organizations strive to achieve. The commitment of the members’ year in and year out is greatly appreciated. Our relationship provides a mutual platform to not only solidify our long-standing commitment to one another, but also to recognize selfless dedication of our public safety professionals.”

...Sheriff Doug Carter
